Testimonials
“I was lucky enough to have Jordan serve as the music supervisor on the Netflix Original documentary Why Did You Kill Me? which I directed and produced. It was not an easy assignment as we had a very limited budget and yet Jordan was able to secure licenses for virtually every song on our wishlist and was also able to find us some great library tracks to supplement what we had. He was always prompt and professional, but, more importantly, was also kind. He dealt with myself as well as the other producers and the artists with generosity and ultimately helped put together a soundtrack that we're all really proud of.”
- Fredrick Munk (Director/Producer), Why Did You Kill Me?
“I had the pleasure of working with Jordan Young on my first feature film. Jordan is an incredible collaborator and a joy to work with. He is hard-working, thorough, and reliable. And on top of all that, Jordan has great taste and relationships with musicians. He is committed to the work he does and always willing to go the extra mile. I'm so proud of the soundtrack for our film, and that's all thanks to Jordan. I can't wait to collaborate with him in the future!”
- Christine Weatherup (Writer/Director), See You Next Christmas
" Jordan was amazing to work with. He gave us multiple song options for every scene that required music, and he also gave us his personal opinion on what worked best, but made sure to support us in our final decision. He saw the movie as a whole product so not only was he aware of every scene, but how they all came together; the tone and the arc of the movie itself. We are super grateful for Jordan's expertise and relationships in getting the music licensed, dealing with the contracts, etc., but on top of all of that Jordan is just a wonderful human being who is really sweet and a pleasure to work with. Couldn't recommend him more."
- Selina Ringel (Writer/Producer) & Dan Levy Dagerman (Writer/Director), Single Mother By Choice
"As a filmmaker with little music licensing experience, I couldn't have asked for a better music supervisor than Jordan. He was detailed and thorough with the fine print as well as excellent at finding great music that worked creatively. A truly valuable collaborator. Jordan is always happy to talk through roadblocks and help find a great solution. I'd work with him again without a doubt."
- Matthew Robinson (Writer/Director), Shallow Water
"Working with Jordan Young as our music supervisor on our feature film was one of the best hiring decisions our production team made. Jordan went above and beyond in acquiring the right musical selections for our film and we can’t recommend anyone more highly regarding his work ethic, professionalism, collaborative spirit, and delivery. Jordan is efficient, timely, and above all cares about the projects he undertakes. Needless to say, Jordan Young will be the first person we call when in need of a music supervisor on our next project."
