Fort Clearington is a boutique sync licensing and music supervision company founded and operated by Jordan Young.  As a licensor, Fort Clearington specializes in one-stop Hip Hop and Electronic music and represents multiple Billboard-charting and Grammy-nominated artists.  Fort Clearington has obtained dozens of syncs for its artist and label clients, placing music in Film, TV, and other content across a variety of networks and mediums. Highlights of Jordan's Music Supervision work include the Peacock Original series Love Island USA (Peacock's most streamed unscripted Original series to date), the Netflix Original documentary Why Did You Kill Me? (which spent over a week in Netflix's 'Top 10 in the US’, peaking at #2), and the independent feature film Single Mother By Choice (currently streaming on HBO Max).

Jordan got his start in the music industry doing radio promotion, working with clients such as Nappy Roots, Matisyahu, Slum Village, Coolio, Equal Vision Records, and more. Having executed over 100 promotional campaigns in the non-commercial radio market, Jordan has obtained chart placements across Hip Hop, RPM/Electronic, New World, Jazz, Blues, and Top 200 formats. 10 of the albums he’s promoted have gone to #1 on the CMJ/NACC Hip Hop Charts, and he has obtained airplay on major stations such as KEXP, KCRW, The Current, WFMU, and Shade 45 (SiriusXM) for his clients.

Jordan now works as a Music Supervisor and Sync Agent doing business as Fort Clearington in Los Angeles, CA. He is a freelance member of the Guild of Music Supervisors and a voting member of the TV Academy, and is an avid follower of music, films, television, and new media developments. His passion for music, media, clearance, and entertainment is relentless, as is his integrity, work-ethic, and ability to meet the generous challenges facing everyone who uses music across the media landscape.
